1. Background
- In accordance with the amendment to Article 36-2 of the "Act on the Promotion of Industrial Education and Industry-Academic Cooperation," a system for approval of changes due to the division or merger of technology holding companies has been introduced.
- Therefore, it is necessary to establish detailed procedures for obtaining approval from the Minister of Education when changes occur, in order to ensure the smooth implementation of the system on the ground.
2. Regulatory Content
- Technology holding companies involved in industry-academic cooperation must submit a change approval application, along with relevant documents (such as a revised operation plan, articles of incorporation, etc.), to the Minister of Education using the prescribed form.
- The Minister of Education must notify the applicant of the result within 30 days of receiving the application. If there are unavoidable circumstances, the notification period may be extended once for up to 20 days.
