1. Reason for Amendment
- In order to ensure the effectiveness of forest restoration efforts and to restore damaged forests efficiently, the "Forest Resources Act" was amended (Law No. 16198, promulgated on January 8, 2019). As a result, the scope of forest restoration projects defined in the Forest Technology Act has been adjusted to ensure consistency between the laws and establish necessary provisions for their implementation.

a. Introduction of Forest Restoration Technologists and Forest Restoration Specialized Businesses (Appendices 3, 4, and 5)
- Addition of forest restoration technologists (forest management technologists, forest engineering technologists, landscape gardening technologists, and forest restoration technologists).
- Addition of forest restoration specialized businesses (forest management, forest ecology/engineering, forest recreation, landscape gardening, and forest restoration).
- Change of dedicated forest technologists from forest engineering technologists to forest restoration technologists.

a. Expansion of the types of laws defining forest restoration projects (Article 13, Paragraph 1)
- Expanding the laws defining forest restoration projects to include four types (Baekdudaegan Act, Erosion Control Act, Mountain Management Act, and Forest Resources Act).
