[Background and Necessity]
For vessels subject to the "Seafarers Act," medicines such as injectables, oral medications, and external medicines must be provided according to the "Standards for the Provision of Medicines and Other Medical Supplies Onboard."


- To ensure the safety and health of seafarers, substitute medicines will replace domestically discontinued or unstable drugs, considering international medical guidelines (IMGS).
- New medicines will be added based on industry demand, and a minimum standard for essential onboard medicines will be established to improve seafarers' health.

Addition of mandatory medicines onboard and establishment of standards for adjusting the quantity of medicines for international voyages exceeding 24 hours.
