The purpose of this amendment is to clarify the procedures for the issuance, retrieval, and return of port entry permits, refine the grounds for entry restrictions to enhance port security, and increase convenience during port entry by applying simplified procedures for individuals who have received prior approval for activities such as training and photo-taking.

2. Key Contents

a. Clarification of the validity period and required documents for port entry permit issuance, thereby improving convenience during the issuance process (Articles 5, 7, etc.).

b. Notification that personal information necessary for the issuance of port entry permits will be collected and used (Article 7-6).

c. Clarification and segmentation of previously unclear grounds for entry restrictions to strengthen security and prevent arbitrary sanctions (Article 11).

d. Provision of an entry exception for relevant public officials in cases of urgent safety and security investigations (Article 11-2).

e. Simplification of entry procedures for port tours, drone flights, and photo-taking when prior approval has been obtained (Articles 11-3 to 11-5).
