[Background]

The purpose of this (amendment) is to improve and supplement deficiencies observed in the operation of the current system, including:

1. Mandating the installation of an accelerator pedal misapplication prevention system to prevent accidents caused by pedal confusion, and a display device for the remaining lifespan of the traction battery in electric vehicles.

2. Harmonizing standards with international regulations, such as the installation standards for manufacturer's trademark lamps and safety standards for vehicle bumpers.

3. Expanding the scope of special exceptions to vehicle length standards.
