The purpose of this (Notice) is to prescribe detailed matters necessary for the operation of the system in accordance with the "Act on Hospice/Palliative Care and Decisions on Life-Sustaining Treatment for Patients at the End of Life" and its Enforcement Rule, including:

-The designation, revocation of designation, and operation of the National Hospice Center.

-The designation of Hospice Specialized Institutions, and the reporting of their changes, closure, or suspension of business.

-The application for and withdrawal of hospice care.
