1. Reasons for Amendment

- As the Foreign Trade Act was amended (Act No. 21568, promulgated on April 21, 2026) to add support matters for small and medium-sized enterprises and mid-sized enterprises regarding the utilization of trade treaties and response to the trade environment, as well as grounds for restricting or prohibiting exports and imports due to threats to national security, this amendment aims to formulate matters delegated by the Act and necessary for its enforcement.

2. Key Contents

- Supplementing investigation and consultation procedures for special measures regarding trade (Article 6)
- Stating the scope of requests for statistical data from the Korea Customs Service related to the application status and utilization practices of preferential tariffs (Article 12-4)
- Stipulating requirements, procedures, and revocation of designation for trade utilization support institutions (Articles 12-5 through 12-7)
