[Background for Promotion]

- The Sanitation Products Management Act was amended in December 2025 to empower competent authorities to issue recall orders to business operators regarding sanitation products that have caused or are likely to cause hazards to health and hygiene. Business operators who receive a recall order must immediately suspend sales, report the recall plan to the competent authority, and carry out the recall of hazardous sanitation products.
- Following the amendment, which requires business operators who have received a recall plan report to publicize the fact of the recall, this amendment aims to specify detailed matters such as the contents and methods that business operators ordered to make a public announcement must disclose, thereby ensuring the prompt recall of hazardous sanitation products and preventing consumer damage.

[Regulatory Content]

- Stipulates detailed contents and procedures, such as information on the recalled products and reasons for the recall, that must be publicized by business operators who have received an order to publicize the fact of a recall pursuant to Article 23 of the Act.
