During a visit by an executive from headquarters to Korea on March 29, 2007, Company A, a company which sells LCD and PDP testing equipment and offers maintenance services, planned to hire 5 technicians to provide service on LCD measuring equipment. However, when 5 employees quit, they were considering the possibility of dispatching workers as temporary replacements.

The visiting executive asked what procedures need to be followed in such a case.

Laws governing dispatched worker apply for 26 different categories

Computer Related Professionals

It was determined that service provided for LCD measuring equipment could not be considered engineering, therefore it may prove difficulty to be granted an exception under this classification.

Therefore, full-time staff must take responsibility for this work

* NOTE: The company is considering subcontracting with a local firm
