This Amendment aims to prevent excessive lending practices by mutual savings banks and to improve their soundness by providing a legal basis for introducing regulations concerning loan-deposit ratio.

Include the loan-to-deposit limit (loan-deposit ratio) of mutual savings banks in the standards for financial soundness prescribed by the Financial Services Commission
