1. Reasons for Amendment

The Amendment reduces the burden on businesses by making sensible improvements to the calculation period for suspensions of transaction, etc., and modifies and improves procedures following a fail result in a test (inspection) of safety management commodities, thereby aiming to enhance the overall quality of procurement commodities.  

2. Major Provisions

 A. Prescribe that when a follow-up suspension of transaction is implemented after a suspension of sale for the same reason, the period of the preceding suspension of sale shall be excluded from the period of the suspension of transaction.

 B. Improve, modify, and specify details on follow-up procedures for safety management commodities and other goods associated with public safety and protection of lives.
