1. Reasons for Amendment

Regular amendments to certification standards are necessary to promote sustainable production and consumption, link to national environment policies (decarbonization, recycling, etc.), address pending issues, and reflect relevant laws. This Amendment expands the scope of everyday products and premium certified products, reduces the burden on businesses by abolishing similar/repeated products in other certification systems, and otherwise adjusts the scope of target items to ensure effectiveness, and improves certification standards for 93 target products and amends and abolishes 2 test methods in conjunction with domestic policy and environmental issues, control standards, etc.

2. Major Provisions

A. Newly insert/abolish, integrate, and rename target product groups (attached Table 1)

B. Expand premium product groups (attached Table 2)

C. Update and improve certification standards for each target product to address pending issues and apply environmental policies and relevant laws (attached Table 2)

D. Improve definitions of terms and units of measurement in test standards to ensure clarity in test method operation (attached Table 3)
