1. Reasons for Amendment 

This amendment aims to improve and supplement technical standards, such as the establishment of new test standards to improve the quality of electronic leak detectors.

2. Major Provisions

A. Strengthen a thermal deformation test and flame retardant test for enclosures (Article 3, subparagraph 4, item D)

B. Introduce a terminal test (Article 3, subparagraph 16)

C. Categorize into “indoor type” and “indoor/outdoor type” depending on the installation place of the receiver (Article 6)

D. Strengthen a temperature characterization test: Maximum temperature 50 ± 2℃ → 60 ± 2℃ (Article 11)

E. Introduce a humidity test for the current transformer and receiver (Article 11-2 and Article 28-2)

F. Introduce an upward water spray test (Article 34, subparagraph 2)

G. Introduce a waterproof test for the receiver (waterproof-type only) (Article 34-2)

H. Introduce a display durability test (Article 38-2)
