1. Reasons for Enactment

This Notice aims to define the details of establishment and operation criteria for negative pressure isolation rooms established under Article 36 of the Medical Service Act and Article 34 and Table 4 of the Enforcement Rule of the Medical Service Act.

2. Major Provisions

 A. Specify establishment criteria for related facilities, such as the area of a negative pressure isolation room, requirements for transfer, and air supply and exhaust facilities.

 B. Stipulate operation criteria, such as negative pressure maintenance criteria for a negative pressure isolation room, the frequency of ventilations, and the sewage and drainage handling method.
