1. Reasons for Amendment

The Welfare of Senior Citizens Act was amended to prescribe the disclosure of the results of checks of violations of employment restrictions on elder abuse-related criminals, etc. and accordingly, this Amendment prescribes matters delegated to the Decree.

2. Major Provisions

A. Disclose the results of checks and verifications of the employment of persons who have been issued with an employment restriction order (Article 20-10 newly inserted)

The Minister of Health and Welfare or the head of the competent administrative agency shall disclose the results of checks and verifications of whether any person who has been issued with an employment restriction order is operating a senior citizen-related institution or has been employed by, or is effectively working for, a senior citizen-related institution within 2 months of the end date of the check or verification via the Korea Elder Protection Agency website for 12 months.
