1. Reasons for Amendment

The Motor Vehicle Management Act was amended (Act No. 19054; promulgated on November 15, 2022; to be enforced on June 11, 2023) to make institutional improvements regarding inspections of the performance and condition of motor vehicles when used motor vehicles are sold by newly inserting education for inspectors of the performance and condition of motor vehicles. Accordingly, this Amendment prescribes facility, equipment, personal standards, etc. for educational institutions and designation and application procedures for specialized educational institutions as delegated by the Enforcement Rule of the Motor Vehicle Management Act (Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Ordinance No. 1225 enforced on June 11, 2023).

2. Major Provisions

Prescribe the designation of specialized educational institutions providing education to inspectors of the performance and condition of motor vehicles, and facility standards for educational institutions, etc. (Article 4).
