1. Reasons for Enactment

The Enforcement Decree of the Functional Sericulture Industry Fosterage and Support Act was partially revised (enforced on June 28, 2023) to foster and develop the sericulture industry, including the creation of a foundation for the development of the functional sericulture industry. This enactment aims to stipulate the details necessary such as in designation procedures and standards for professional training institutions delegated by Ordinance of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs in the revised Enforcement Decree of the Act.

2. Major Provisions

 A. Establish an article for the purpose of enactment (Article 1)

○ Establish a provision whose purpose is to stipulate matters delegated in the Enforcement Decree of the Act and matters necessary for their implementation.

 B. Establish details such as criteria for the designation of professional training institutions (Article 2)

○ Stipulate the application form and the certificate of designation for professional training institutions, standards for curriculum development, standards for educational facilities and equipment, and qualification standards for professional teaching staff.

 C. Establish provisions on regulatory review (Article 3)

○ Establish provisions that the feasibility of the Rule shall be reviewed, and actions such as improvement taken every three years based on July 1, 2024.
