1. Reason for revision and main contents
With the Clean Air Conservation Act was revised (Law No. 20114, promulgated on January 23, 2024, implemented on July 24, 2024) so that the changes shall be reported to the Minister of Environment if an automobile manufacturer intends to change matters other than important matters in the automobile's emission certification, and an automobile owner who self-corrected defects at the time of manufacture within the emission warranty period will be compensated by the automobile manufacturer for the correction costs, the aim is to establish legally delegated matters and matters needed to execute such matters by establishing the reporting forms and procedures for certified matters other than important matters including the detailed procedure for requesting compensation for the automobile owner who self-corrected defects, and to improve/supplement some insufficiencies found in the operation of the current system by adding the shutdown of facilities if the person who installed or operated arsenic acid discharging facilities reports a change.
