Reasons for Proposal

The Equal Employment Opportunity and Work-Family Balance Assistance Act prohibits gender discrimination when recruiting or employing workers. However, there have been cases where male applicants received extra points without justifiable reason during document screenings or interviews.

Accordingly, the Amendment prescribes that the gender ratio of successful job seekers shall be disclosed for each stage of the hiring procedure, thereby aiming to prevent job offerers from unfairly manipulating the gender ratio at certain stages (Article 13-2 newly inserted).

Major Provisions

Any business or business site that regularly employs at least 300 workers shall disclose the gender ratio of successful job seekers for each stage of the hiring procedure (Article 13-2).
