Reasons for Proposal and Major Provisions 

The current Act defines youth as people aged between 19 and 34 years. 

However, according to Article 16 (Electoral Eligibility) of the Public Official Election Act, the age of electoral eligibility of members of the National Assembly has been lowered to 18 years. 

Accordingly, the Amendment changes the definition of youth in Article 3 (Definitions) of the Framework Act on Youth from people aged between 19 and 34 years to people aged between 18 and 34 years (Article 3).
